A product type groups together different products with similar characteristics, indicates the product nature and defines rules for products like how products are managed in stock.

How to ? Choose the product nature :
Magelia WebStore enables you to create three product natures :
- Produit standard
- Product variants : a product that is offered in different variations ( ex: a perfume that is available in different volume/bottle sizes).
- Bundle : a group of products that must be sold together as a package. Bundles have a definitive price and their own inventory. (ex: an “Antivirus” + “Firewall” pack, or a “Tennis racket” + “Tennis balls” pack).

The nature of a product in the Magelia WebStore software serves to distinguish the applicable business rules during the product definition process. So, for example, a standard product would have only one SKU whereas a complex product would have many, because each variant has its own SKU.

How to ? Choose Stock Management :
- Physically managed : For actual products that are managed in the inventory.
- Physically unmanaged : For actual products that are not managed in the inventory (ex: samples, flyers, etc.).
- Virtual managed : For virtual products that are managed in the inventory.
- Virtual unmanaged : For virtual products that are not managed in the inventory (ex: software, game downloads, etc.).
