The price of a product or of a product variant is defined by catalog.

    Sale Price et Cut-price :
The sale price corresponds to the price of the product sold in a store. When a customer adds a product to the shopping cart, the sale price is used.

The cut-price corresponds to the normal price of a product, or to the recommended price of a product. Cut-price is simply a formality. It is not used by Magelia WebStore in calculating the price of the contents of a shopping cart. It can, however, be displayed on your website to show to the customer that the sale price is in fact better than the cut-price.

    • DO define the sale price for each catalog in which a product is available.
    • If you are creating product variants, you must define the sale price of each variant in the given catalog.

Attention ! Prices and taxes :
The price you define for a product must be consistent with the tax rule of the selected catalog. If the selected catalog has been defined as taxes excluded, the price must be shown as taxes excluded. For the price and tax calculation, Magelia WebStore will calculate the taxes and they will be added to the product price.

If the product price has been defined as taxes included, the price must be shown as taxes included. For the price and tax calculation, Magelia WebStore will calculate the taxes and deduct them from the tax-included price (to determine the price before taxes).

If you’re not sure, you can read the rule defined in the catalog section: "Product Menu>Catalog".

    • Assigning a product to several catalogs lets you create different prices for the product.
    • With WebStore, you can enter up to 5 numbers after the decimal (to define a price ), which allows for price accuracy. For example, “100” would be “100.00000.”
    • You can enter prices in all the chosen currencies for a selected catalog. You can manage the currencies associated with a catalog in the catalog management screen.
    • To add a currency to a catalog, go to "Catalogs>Edit Catalog" and add the desired currency in the “Assigned Currencies” section.
