Create/modify content types

With Magelia WebStore Professional and Enterprise Editions, or if you purchase this feature as an extension, you can create content types and benefit from content management features within Magelia WebStore.

Magelia Content types can either be defined as standalone contents or they can be linked to your products, brands, your categories, your catalogs, etc. This is a great way to enhance your products, or other concepts with content pictures, etc. and push the limits of Magelia WebStore.

Contents in Magelia WebStore are organized by content type. A content type groups together attributes that define the content. This modular approach of content enables you to structure complex contents such as authors' bios, recipes, etc.

How to? Define a content type ?

Do Give a unique code for the content type

Do create localizations : the way your the name of your content type will be displayed in the administration console in the differents cultures or languages.

Add parent type(s) (optional):
You can select one or more optional Parent types if you want to attach your content to key notions defined in magelia WebStore. If you attach your content type to a parent type you will be able to contribute this content within an instance of this parent type.
For example : if you attach a content history to a parent type 'Brand', when you edit a brand, you will be create a content item (of the history content type). You will therefore describe the history of the brand within the brand itself.

Define the attributes of the content type:

A content type is a list ofattributes and each attribute is defined by :
-
a code that must be unique
-
a type such as a string, a boolean (yes/no), a number, a decimal, or a complex type such as a product, etc.
Depending on the type that you select, you will have the possibility to define other options for your attribute. For instance, a string can be a Html text or not and can have a max. length
-
a localized name. This name will be displayed in the administration console and/or on your website
-
is required : enables you to define wether the attribute is mandatory
-
is localizable : indicates whether the attribut can be translated / localized in tjhe languages and cultures proposed for your website.
-
the order** defines the display order of the attribute in the list of attributes for a content type

DO Attach your content type to one or more stores defined for the current seller:
